Wicked Ideas is reimagining the public arena for the digital age. It is a place that treats participants with respect and in doing so, helps to rebuild our trust in each other. If we are successful, we will change the relationships between citizens, corporations, non-profits and governments. 

Wicked Ideas’ success is predicated on our ability to earn and maintain the trust of the people we interact with, including our customers, our audience, our employees, our vendors and our story subjects. To achieve this, our day-to-day operations are guided by five core values.

Open: We are an entry point for people and knowledge. Like all good hosts, we are welcoming and we share with others. Wicked Ideas is part of the open journalism movement, which links our stories with the global web of information. This is reflected in the open nature of our conversations. We also encourage our stories to be shared.

Accurate: We get our facts right. Data drives all our business units, including story development, client services, marketing, sales and business growth.

Fair: We protect and foster the trust we forge with our customers, our audience, our service providers and our story subjects with a code of conduct that outlines our response to contentious issues including libel, privacy, anonymity, conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

Optimistic: We believe that together we can solve the world’s biggest problems. We approach all aspects of our business with a mix of pragmatism, confidence, creativity and hope.

Show: We believe a great show can move people – to laugh, to feel and to act. That’s because we learn best when knowledge is delivered in an entertaining way. Our creative motto is show, don’t tell – and to do that we produce great experiences that bring people back for more.
